To support people with cancer and their caregivers and families more effectively I studied with Dr Rosy Daniel,  Dr. Rosy Daniel former medical director of the famous Bristol Cancer Help Centre (1985 to 1999) and now director of Health Creation UK. Dr. Daniel has spent 25 years helping people challenged with chronic or life threatening illness to evaluate the potential benefits and support available from complementary, nutritional, psychological and self help approaches alongside mainstream medicine.

Throughout this training I received powerful tools which enhanced my skills to guide patients and carers through illness, promoting increased levels of health and helping prevent future illness. This training has helped me to walk the journey to health with my patients and their caregivers more effectively.

One of the first steps after receiving your diagnosis is usually to reach out to someone who will listen really well to your concerns and what you are going through. This is guiding most people with cancer to councelling. Often people thing that they must be in great distress before they engage in a councelling relationship or there must be something wrong with them if they use the service of councelling. This is far from true.

Mentoring can be very useful for you when you are dealing with cancer.
Ones you come to terms with your diagnosis many cancer patients feel an overwhelming desire to make the most of the rest of their lives. But it is sometimes really difficult to know how to turn this determination into specific changes and also to be sure these changes are what you truly want. A Cancer Mentor or Coach can help identify what is really important to you, what would give you the most joy and satisfaction and increase your chances of healing and a fulfilling life.

Mentoring can help you identify goals and make the changes necessary by giving you practical tools, step - by - step guidance, support and motivation to succeed.

Identifying what you need and setting goals to achieve this can energise and empower you to transition from feeling helpless because of your diagnosis, to bring back, in control and feeling confident. A Mentor and Coach can provide you with inspiration, courage focus and determination to create your best life now!

I will work with you together in order to develop a support protocol that is right for you.

I believe that is important for you to realize that both your progress and success will have much more to do with you – with your insights, your wisdom, your understanding that you might have imagined.

In fact your decisions are what is important, my job as a mentor is to assist you in looking at your option. However, I do not or will not make decisions for you.

I will support you at any stage of your illness.

As a compassionate Health - Creation Mentor I give you my warm, caring support as your companion, to walk the journey to health with you. I will provide the crucial guidance, support and encouragement to get through the challenges, which may lie ahead, especially if you feel too tired, ill or de -motivated to work on your own. I provide clients with guidance to make clear achievable goals each month to work steadily to improve health, happiness and peace of mind. My role as a mentor is to help you to understand and engage fully in your healing journey, making sure that you get the best outcome from your treatment and recovery process.

It is my great hope that when you leave me you will be better equipped for the road of life than when you came to see me for support. I may also have you do specific exercises (homework) between the sessions. This would be done to maximize the healing changes in your life.

Confidentiality

The people who come to me are usually very concerned about their privacy and confidentiality. They are typically working on highly personal, often painful and difficult issues. They need to trust that what they say and share in sessions will remain in the session. They want to know that nobody outside our therapy space will know their personal information. I can provide that guarantee.
