"Health Creation Coaching is a new concept in pro-active health care. I’m trying to change the focus in society from the passive management of disease to the active creation of health. Basically, in the same way that you’d hire a fitness coach or a life coach, you can now hire a health coach to help you reach and maintain an optimum state of health. Through self-assessment exercises, and with the help of a mentor, you learn to recognise and change your health-damaging behaviours. Cancer is, depending on which statistics you look at, probably around 80% lifestyle created. I was shocked to find that out when I started researching and I thought, “Wow, if it’s that much in our control it has to be preventable, with enough motivational support”.

Mentors and professional wellness coaches have been recognized for their skills in helping people to do their best. Professional Mentors and Wellness Coaches are helping clients reach their best health and wellbeing! As a Mentor and Wellness Coach I will help clients develop and implement individualized wellness plans by: 

  • Developing the strengths they need to over come their obstacles
  • Accepting and meeting them where they are today
  • Helping them to tap into their fighting spirit
  • Guiding them into mindful thinking and building confidence
  • Addressing mental, physical and spiritual health together
  • Laying the foundation for holistic wellness with realistic goals and small victories
  • Identifying opportunities to learn and grow
  • Inspiring and challenging clients to make lifestyle changes

Often we get stuck living our lives constantly looking back through our rear view mirror. 

Past experiences, previous failures, missed opportunities, limited self beliefs and assumptions start to control our thinking process, our behavior, and the results we create. It somehow seems as if the past keeps reproducing in the present. Working with a coach can help you reach your goals better than you could on your own, and keep you focused on your future improvement! The only thing worse than feeling miserable, is feeling miserable alone. But you don’t have to be alone. If you are struggling with difficulties in your life and need help, we are here to walk with you. If you're interested in being in one of my groups, call us so we can meet. Many of the people in my groups are also in individual therapy while some of my clients come for a few individual psychotherapy sessions before entering a group.
